The University Library provides information and literature for students, teachers and researchers at JGU. It is the largest academic library in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

The Library’s management, central services for students and several specialized sections are located at the Central Library.

There are also six Departmental Libraries and about 30 Faculty Libraries. These function as decentralized reference libraries for students and staff within their faculties and departments.
