In the Central Library, you can find materials on musicology and music education in the RVK area, as well as in the Textbook Collection and the Reading Room.
In the Humanities Library, you will find the Musicology Library in the anteroom of the Humanities Library (Jakob-Welder-Weg 18), 1st floor, Room 01/135.
You will find the location of the School of Music at the School of Music (Jakob-Welder-Weg 28), 1st floor, Room 01/162.
Since 2023, new acquisitions in the Central Library have been arranged according to the Regensburg Classification System (RVK). For this subject area, the classification numbers beginning with the letters LP–LY are particularly relevant.

The search for sheet music editions for specific instrumentations at the School of Music location is done using the Advanced Search: Select the library "Humanities Library, location School of Music", determine the desired classification number in the cataloging system and search for it as a classification number with truncation (*), e.g.
"C 1 Beethoven*" for piano works by Ludwig van Beethoven or "D 10*" for compositions for organ alone; "L 2*" Literature for viola or "R 511*" sheet music for Big Band.
